Xiaomi is Trying to Enter the Mini Desktop Computer World on Top of Its Other Products Like the Watch or Buds

According to the story by Giz China, Xiaomi is trying to enter the mini desktop computer world, where the Apple Mac Mini is a key competitor as it remains one of the most popular mini PCs.

It has become clear that the Xiaomi brand has grown significantly, and they continuously announce new products at every event. At the last event, they unveiled their Xiaomi Watch S2 and Xiaomi Buds 4.

Xiaomi Introduced the Mini Host which is Capable of Doing All Tasks Users Would Normally Want to Do

What stole the show, however, was their newest addition to the company’s range of products – the Xiaomi Mini Host, which was announced via the Chinese social media site Weibo. This is Xiaomi’s first desktop computer, a full unit capable of doing all the tasks users would want from a contemporary Windows computer.

Although this computer may be small enough to fit into the user’s palm, don’t be fooled. It is heavy-duty, made from a single piece of aluminum that has undergone several steps, such as sandblasting and anodizing. This ensures a premium product that is on par with any Mac computer.

The Xiaomi Mini Host Packs a 12th Gen Intel CPU Chip with Windows 11

The Xiaomi Mini Host features integrated Intel Xe graphics and a 12-core Core i5-1240P CPU. It also includes a whopping 16 GB of RAM, which is enough for everyday use and can handle high-powered games.

The Intel CPU that the device uses is the 12th gen chip, making it updated regarding technology. The device also comes with Windows 11 installed per Fone Arena.

Xiaomi Mini Host to Cost Just $575 for the 512 GB of SSD Storage

Furthermore, the user can increase the memory and 512 GB of SSD storage. Xiaomi has set up a sizable fan with a two-tube heating design to cool this mini desktop. This allows the user to choose between several energy-saving settings.

The Mini PC has a lot more connection ports than expected. This includes four USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, two HDMI ports to link two displays, two Ethernet ports, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3 support. This is available at an affordable 3,699 Yuan or approximately $575. For now, the Xiaomi Mini PC is only available in China.
