Fantasy Football First wins World’s Best Fantasy Football Blog in Football Blogging Awards
The stereotypical view of a sports blogger may still be teenager reporting on their local football team from their bedroom. However, for the dedicated and enterprising, the world of blogging is big business.
Fantasy Football First Team with their award
One such blog is FantasyFootballFirst.co.uk, a site dedicated to helping the 5 million people who play Fantasy Football. FantasyFootballFirst.co.uk boasts over 100,000 visitors per month so has a credible following.
Site founder Paul Morgan believes the success of the site is down to three things. Firstly the production of helpful fantasy football articles, secondly free stats to highlight the premier league footballers to choose, and thirdly experienced players helping other players online. Paul thinks these three elements make Fantasy Football First unique in the Football Blogging world.
And this has not gone unnoticed. On Thursday Fantasy Football First won the judges choice for the Best Fantasy Football Blog in the 2014 Football Blogging Awards. A panel of journalists and bloggers evaluated the top Fantasy Football sites and found Fantasy Football First to be number one in the world. Paul said, “We are delighted to win the 2014 Best Fantasy Football Blog award. It is hugely important for Fantasy Football First’s writers to be recognised for the outstanding articles we produce, and equally as important for the managers on site who provide quality fantasy football advice to so many other managers. This is a major achievement for us all.”
This is the second year in a row that Fantasy Football First has been recognised in the Football Blogging Awards, this time picking up the ‘Best Fantasy Football Blog 2014’ while last year they were runners up in the ‘Best Fantasy Football Blog 2013′ category. Paul continued, “To be recognised for these awards is outstanding and we could not be more pleased. The quality of the sites shortlisted is simply amazing, so to be recognised by our peers by winning the Judges’ Choice category is one heck of an achievement and a real team effort.”
On the back of winning the award, Fantasy Football First has picked up a brand new partner for the remainder of the season and likely well into the future. Mondogoal has aligned with Fantasy Football First to promote their fantasy football game. The key difference is with Mondogoal is players can win cash, match tickets, signed items and VIP experiences with top clubs and players. Mondogoal are already official fantasy partners of Liverpool F.C., Manchester City F.C., West Ham United, and A.S. Roma, so Fantasy Football First is in good company.
“We are elated to be associated with the success of Fantasy Football First and really believe they will enjoy Mondogoal, “ said Chris Mazzone, Vice-President of Marketing at Mondogoal, “I believe Mondogoal is the premier place to play daily fantasy football online. FantasyFootball First’s ‘article, statistics, ask for help’ model will give players a great head start when planning a winning team each week, especially if they want to win one of large cash prizes we award every week, rather than just the kudos of winning a free league.”
The partnership with Mondogoal will allow Fantasy Football First to build some incredible new tools and provide even more outstanding content and features to their readers over the coming months.
