Google promised during the Pixel 7 launch that users would be receiving exclusive features for free, as they will be launching several updates to the devices. In its newest update, device owners will have access to a VPN that is included in Google One subscriptions. But in this case, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro owners can obtain this feature for free.

The Verge reported that Google would also debut its newest feature for calls. The Clear Calling feature will reduce background noises and enhance the owner’s voice to enhance the call, even in a loud environment.

This feature will only be exclusive to 7 and 7 Pro devices, as Pixel 6 uses a different chipset that is not compatible with the presented new features. Google Spokesperson Matthew Flegal stated, “Clear Calling requires the capabilities of the Google Tensor G2 processor, so it will not roll back to Pixel 6 models.”

Aside from the two, the Recorder application will now have (1) speaker labels that will automatically assign labels to multiple people during recording, and (2) a line break for transcriptions changes. According to TechCrunch, these features are only available to professional transcription tools like Otter.ai.

Organized security and privacy settings are also now available in the new update, where both settings can be accessed in a single hub.
