Children’s TV channel expands with linear channel on Spanish DTH payTV platform
London, UK, 8 March 2011 – KidsCo, the international children’s channel, has today announced that it will begin airing a linear channel on Starmax HD, in Spain. The new payTV platform, owned by Starmax TV España, a wholly owned subsidiary of Starmax Television UK is set to launch in spring as one of the only satellite payTV platforms in Spain. Starmax HD will use a pay-as-you-go subscription model with no contracts.
KidsCo will bring to Starmax its growing slate of original production including the second season of Boo and Me, and Jass Time! as well as first run exclusive content such as Turbodogs, and Bommi & Friends. KidsCo’s family friendly programming includes big names such as Super Mario Brothers, Fat Dog Mendoza, Dino Squad and Danger Mouse. The channel also has a raft of educational programming from The Wiggles to Pecola to
Paddington Bear.
